Lara Croft returns with the rebooted Tomb Raider in cinemas across Australia this Thursday. The trailers for this have looked awesome so we are looking forward to it and you can look forward to our review later this week.

Friday

In The House continues this Friday with our favourite computer based cult film, Tron. Long before Ready Player One let people enter the virtual world, Kevin Flynn was there first. To get screening information for Brisbane‘s Myer Centre Event Cinema and your tickets for this awesome classic check the Event Cinemas website on Friday.

Continuing as part of Brisbane‘s GOMA Two Minutes to Midnight Schedule catch Dr. Strangelove or How I Learnt to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb this Friday. Following a screening of a talk about WWII to present day cinema this screening is also completely free and happening at the GOMA Cinema.

Saturday

It’s St Patrick’s Day this Saturday. While not the geekiest of days to celebrate if you choose to celebrate make sure you do it in moderation.

Kicking off Saturday and running all weekend long at Ballarat‘s Kyral Castle it’s Australia vs. New Zealand for the 2018 International Jousting Cup. This annual spectator event is open to all to see who will go home with the Tasman Cup this weekend.

The Hobart Game Society is holding it’s March meet up this Saturday for members and new comers alike. It’s free for first timers but join the society and support local gaming and more events like this.

Sunday

Looking to fill that hole in your comic collection? Checkout the Box Hill Record and Comic Fair this Sunday in Melbourne. This massive quarterly event has had more than a million people through the door and definitely a must destination for any hardcore collector.

Need a movie night to wrap up your weekend? How about Donnie Darko at Melbourne‘s Rooftop Cinema with a rabbit named Frank. With only one screening for this cult class best not delay on picking up your tickets for Sunday.

4. South Australia & Northern Territory

Also this Wednesday it’s your last chance to get all the sexy science time you need this Wednesday night with Nikola and I.With only limited performances left, be regaled by a night of your host as they retell being flung through time for space, science and cosmic “woo woo”. It’s on at the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

And in it’s last week at the Adelaide Fringe Festival from Wednesday Thrones the Musical is the Game of Thrones parody you never knew you needed. Sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe this is a definite for any George RR. Martin fans.

And rounding out your Thursday, straight from the Perth Fringe World is a sketch comedy show based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, MARVELus. Fresh from Perth this show takes you through a new point of view of the MCU.

Friday

Get your gaming fix at the Adelaide Fringe Festival with Game Nights by BrainHackr. For the last Friday and Saturda of the Festival. This week – I Need A Hero on Friday and Magic Maze Night on Saturday.

Warewolves have been spotted in the Adelaide Fringe Festival and this Friday (and Saturday) is your only chance to stop them. This fully immersive role playing game has been a sold out event at the Edinburgh Fringe and so far at the Adelaide Fringe too. With only 2 sessions left before the end of the Fringe act fast if you need tickets.

Saturday

Wands at the Ready is a Wizarding scavenger hunt with you solving cryptic clues and using spellcraft to solve puzzles in place sight as Adelaide‘s mystic defender. This 75 minute challenge set in the Rundle Mall is happening every Saturday for the duration of the Festival.

There has been a murder at Hogwarts… yes another one. Catch this performance by the Adelaide Improv group as they return to Hogwarts and give the audience clues to the identity of the killer. There are only a limited number of shows so catch this one on Sunday.

And finally the story we have been longing for when Buffy kills Edward at the Adelaide Fringe Festival. This musical is playing for the second last night of the festival so if you definitely won’t want to miss this single performance.

Sunday
