In Streaming this week you might need to leave the house and head to an Event Cinema with the DOTA 2 Invitational being streamed live in Perth and Sydney. Event is not the only streaming venue with everyone from Respawn in Perth to the GGEZ Bar in Melbourne having streaming events. Check out your favourite local eSports venue or invite your friends over to watch it live.
2In Cinemas
The 3rd film in the disaster porn of London and Olympus has Fallen Trilogy hits cinemas across Australia this week with ‘Angel has Fallen’ out for your watching pleasure on Thursday.
But that isn’t the only thing on screens this week you should look out for with tons of retro cinema and 3 days of Max Max: Fury Road at the Melbourne IMAX. However, our pick has to be the original 90’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live-action film playing at the Ritz Cinema in Sydney because you can’t have enough of that sweet 90’s Vanilla Ice Ninja Turtles Rap.
3Stuff To Go Do
If you are looking for something awesome to do this weekend in Melbourne you can’t go past Animaga Expo at the Royal Exhibition this Saturday and Sunday. Animaga is a long-running staple of the con scene and a favourite for anyone into gaming and anime. There is a huge list of vendors and a big list of exhibitors making it well worth checking out this weekend.
Still in Melbourne this Sunday, are you missing that key issue in your run of Action Comics? Looking for an early edition Killing Joke? Loving the final season of Preacher and looking to pick-up some Garth Ennis? Hit the Box Hill Record and Comic Fair as it returns this weekend. A long staple of the Melbourne collector community if you are having a hard time finding some gaps in your collection this is the place to drop by.
And finally in Perth, while National Science Week finished last week Science doesn’t happen on a schedule! This weekend you can attend the Perth Science Festival to get your science on.
