German Sci-Fi Time travel series on Netflix, Keanu in Toy Story 4 and a Sydney Supanova so big that it might be juicing on Pym Particles. And this is a quiet week! Here is your guide to Everything happening this week in Geek across Australia.
1On Streaming/TV
On Streaming this week you can binge the second season of the German-made Supernatural/Sci-Fi series Dark. If you haven’t seen the first season it’s a bit complicated with the time travel between 1986 and 2020 and the missing children, so maybe don’t just jump into the second season straight away. But on the plus side, you now have two seasons of something to binge this weekend.
2In Cinemas
In Cinemas this week continuing Keanu Reeves being everywhere is Toy Story 4 with… Keanu Reeves. Seriously. The dude was at E3 last week and here now too. By this time next year, we expect him to be everywhere at once.
Also in Cinemas this week is the 2019 update for the killer toy with Child’s Play. Probably don’t mix up which one is which with toys in it if you are buying tickets for some kids.
Check back later this week to see which ones we have reviews for.
3Stuff To Go Do
The biggest con in Australia is happening this week in Sydney all weekend long with Supanova Sydney! Cosplay! Merch! Vendors! Artists! Special Guests! Panels! There is probably more but we have used up our exclamation point quota. There is a ton of stuff this year but we are particularly looking forward to the cast from the Netflix ‘I Am Mother’, Elijah Wood and Venom/Cosmic Ghostrider Scribe – Donny Cates appearing. Oh and make sure you go say Hi to Cosplay Ambassador for this season of Supanova, Breathless-ness
