Titans Live Action jumps from DCUniverse streaming to Netflix for International Distribution

The DC Universe streaming service announced at SDCC earlier this year has been something we have been keeping a keen eye on. With a number of new DC Comics-based shows such as Swamp Thing, Doom Patrol and Harley Quinn being exclusive to the US only streaming service we have been bugging our press contacts for information on when Australia will get some of the goodness.

This morning we got our answer with an official press release from Netflix sharing that the first live-action series on the service, Titans, is coming to Netflix for international distribution. Even though there is no confirmation of date just knowing that DCUniverse was willing to allow a partnership with Netflix which gives us hope for all the other planned live action and animated series which are in the pipe.

Titans is an 11-episode live-action series based on the Teen Titans. Centred on Dick Grayson Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy and Raven (sorry Cyborg is part of the Justice League) the series is produced by DCEU overseer Geoff Johns and Arrowverse’s Greg Berlanti but given its home on the DCUniverse platform, we expect it to be another separate universe. You can check out the first ‘Robin swears like a sailor’ Official Trailer below.

No words on a date yet but as soon as we have more concrete info on the 11 episode live action series or news about the other exclusive DCUniverse shows you will be the first to know.
