In the House continues it’s season with the Vampire classic The Lost Boys. Check your local Event Cinemas to confirm if it’s playing near you and pickup tickets now for some classic Kiefer Sutherland.

Also at Event Cinemas across Brisbane you can watch the live action adaption of Tokyo Ghoul. Tickets and sessions are limited so if you want to catch it before it leaves the big screen, dont delay.

For anyone who knows the world actually sits on the back of a giant turtle the Brisbane Arts Theatre brings you some Terry Pratchett with Lords and Ladies. This adaption performance starts this Saturday in Brisbane and runs through to the 21st of October.

DINOSAURS! I know you don’t need to know more but the Dinosaur Festival Starts in Sydney this Saturday and runs until the 8th of October. Also, DINOSAURS!!!

Also on Sunday and in case you didn’t do anything for Hobbit Day on Friday, the Ritz Cinema in Sydney is playing a Lord of the Rings Marathon this Sunday.

Potterfest is on at the Astor Theatre in Melbourne with every Harry Potter film (plus Fantastic Beasts) playing back to back. Tickets are still available but make sure you stock up on potions because 23hrs+ is a long marathon, even by muggle standards. Update: This event is now sold out

Are you a member of a Sci-Fi or Fantasy club in Melbourne? Do you bowl? Are you going to the first ever Galactic Bowlarama this Saturday? If you said yes to two out of three then make it three for three, register and get your club to the Strike Bowling Bar this weekend to show who is the ultimate fandom.

Head to the Kryal Castle this Sunday for their special medieval banquet event for the school holidays. If you are in Ballarat you can grab some tickets via the official Kryal website.

On Sunday in Melbourne CouchWarriors is having their September Melee session with dozens of games in all day sessions. With so many games to play in competition on a single day, it’s just like being back at BAM9.

Starting Sunday in Caveat (2 Hours north of Melbourne) Swordcraft Quest begins. One of Australia’s largest LARPing events, it runs from this Sunday until next for a full week of Quests, Epic Battles and Tales around the campfire.
