4DC K.O. #1
The DC major event is here and we… might have mentioned this one coming out a bit earlier than it was suppose to BUT it is definitely in stores THIS week (unless it gets bumped again). This is Superhero vs Superhero in a battle royale bracket of the Justice League to stop the return of Darkseid (as part of the current major DCU goings on so good that it was delayed until after ‘Legion of Darkseid’).
3MARVEL KNIGHTS: PUNISHER #1
Marvel Knights continues with the Marvel Knights world of Wakanda going strong with a future state of Wakanda now the new Marvel Knights is cemented as the World to Come with The Punisher. Written by the original Marvel Knights co-creator Jimmy Palmiotti this is not Punisher: The End but if you were a fan of the original Marvel Knights this is a great edition of ’20 years on’.
2HARLEY QUINN X ELVIRA #1
DC and Marvel are not the only ones that can crossover with the Mistress of the Macabre meeting up with the Clown Princess of Crime and written by the OG Harley Quinn team of Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti. Does this make sense? No. Is it a perfect crossover for Halloween month? Yes.
1RED BOOK #1
If you are a little more ‘truth is out there’ the Blue Book is probably something you have heard of, the American Alien records from the 1950s on, but what were the Russians doing. Red Book #1 is about the mysterious deaths of 9 students in the ‘Dyatlov Pass Incident’. A supernatural/alien conspiracy based 4 issue series coming from Dark Horse Comics if you are a fan of either James Tynion IV or Michael Avon Oeming this is going to be on your pickup list.
