SILVERHAWKS #1
Partly metal, partly real and adding to the Dynamite line-up of 80s cartoons turned ongoing comic series. Coming from Ed Brisson who was behind a great Predator run for Marvel is the ongoing adventures of the Silverhawk law enforcement cyborgs as they police Limbo. The only thing that could make it better is if it played the theme song.
POWER LORDS #1
Also in books outside the big two and from Oni Press is a new original series from Unstoppable Doom Patrol writer Dennis Culver. When a space smuggler finds a power gem he is transformed and drafted into an eons old battle set in another galaxy far far away. If you feel like you are getting too much only DC and Marvel in your diet throw this indie in your comic diet.
BOOK OF CUTTER #1
Also outside of DC and Marvel this week is a new addition to the Slaughterverse by Detective Comics and many more scribe James Tyrion IV. The Slaughterverse is the name of the shared universe for Something is Killing the Children series with this oversized one-shot focusing on a former pack hunter for the house of cutter journeying to Europe.
DCs LEX IN THE CITY #1
Following in the same spirit as How to Lose a Guy Guardian in 10 days is this one-shot for what is Lex Luthor Week for DC. This is an anthology one-shot with 8 short stories all following the #1 wearer of power suits in the DC. From Metropolis to Gotham expect a number of Superhero tie-ins for this book that is all about Lex.
SUPERMAN: LEX LUTHOR SPECIAL ONE-SHOT
And the very last book to talk about this week in a week full of one-shots for the 5th week of the comic releases this week is the return to the status quo for Lex Luthor. From Action Comics #850 Lex Luthor has been undergoing a redemption arc until losing his memory during the Brainiac attack but this one-shot brings Lex back as part of the DC All-In.
