Prepare to go Ape over the first Godzilla vs Kong Trailer and a moved up Release Date

When people talk about big movies there is no bigger than a Godzilla flick. After the revival of Godzilla in 2014 started a new shared Monsterverse that included King Kong it has all been heading for this with the showdown you really want – Godzilla vs Kong.

Overnight Legendary has dropped this new first trailer for the film that was originally delayed due to COVID and now moved up from May to March release to release on the HBO Max streaming platform in the US. While this may be a ploy to keep HBO Max subscribers with so many in the US signing up on limited trials to watch Wonder Woman at home that doesn’t mean we don’t benefit in here in Australia with the cinematic release being moved up also.

This trailer is big, following the events of Godzilla: King of Monsters where Godzilla has reclaimed his throne of King over a planet full of skyscraper like creatures over humanity and joining up with the events of Kong: Skull Island with a now fully grown up King Kong, this trailer does not shy away from showing you some action and we can only assume we are going to get a lot more than 18 minutes of screentime as we see brawls in the Ocean, Tokyo and Skull Island to name a few.

You can checkout the full trailer below but then tell us what you think in the comments. Are you psyched for Godzilla vs Kong? Which Kaiju do you want to show up in this next chapter? Will we ever see an updated Mechagodzilla? Tell us in the comments down below.

Godzilla vs Kong hits Australian cinemas March 25th this year!
