Square Enix’s press conference kicked off with a banger! The Final Fantasy VII remake was front and centre with 20 minutes of coverage out of the gate. They showed a couple of new trailers and had a deeper look at game mechanics and general gameplay. The release date is finally set for March 3rd, 2020.

Life Is Strange 2 continues to be an episodic series that is worth being invested in.

Kingdom Hearts 3 DLC Re:Mind was announced.

Shadowbringers is the next expansion pack for Final Fantasy XIV, and it’s coming out on July 2nd.

A remixed Dying Light 2 trailer was shown using footage from last year’s show. It is set to release sometime in Autumn 2020.

The SaGa series is coming to the west. Romancing Saga 3 and SaGa Scarlet Grace will be available on all major platforms, including the PS Vita?!

Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is coming out this year!

To close the show we were shown our first glimpse of gameplay and cinematics for the Avengers game. The cast is as you would expect from the movies but they aren’t using any actor’s likenesses. It’s an original story based on the Avengers falling apart and having to reunite a few years later.

There’s an all star voice cast with Nolan North, Troy Baker, and Laura Bailey among the characters. Avengers is a live game for groups of four people. There will be regular updates, new superheros, additional regions and more free of charge. There are also no loot boxes, but I assume costumes will be available to purchase otherwise it’s just money left on the table.

Avengers releases on May 15, 2020.
