E3 2019: Ubisoft Recap

Ubisoft’s press conference kicks off with a live orchestra on stage to play an Assassin’s Creed Symphony. It is then announced they are doing a worldwide tour, but sadly no dates for Australia or anywhere nearby.

Next up we got an extended look at Watch Dogs Legion which is set in a near future post-Brexit world. You can play as seemingly anyone (they briefly showed over 100 people), and every character has permadeath. You’re able to assemble of crew of old ladies, hipsters, or anything in between depending on what the player wants to do. Releasing March 6th, 2020.

Always Sunny In Philadelphia’s Rob McElhenney comes out on stage to discuss a new show he’s a part of about a game studio. Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet is the name of it, and it stars David Hornsby and Danny Pudi (Abed from Community). This is one of Apple’s new premium shows.

Adventure Time characters are being added to Brawlhalla as of today.

The Punisher’s John Bernthal walks on stage to talk about Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. The game will be available on October 4th with a beta on September 5th. There is also a new community program called Delta Company.

A new tactical mobile RPG featuring characters across several Ubisoft properties is in the works. It’s called Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad.

Next up was the traditional Just Dance dance segment. The new game is coming in November on all platforms.

There’s a new For Honor in-game event called Shadows of the Hitokiri later this month.

Rainbow Six Quarantine is a three player co-op title coming in 2020.

Division 2 is free to play this weekend and there is new content coming soon. Episode 1 in July has new missions and will go outside the city with a National Zoo setting. Episode 2 later in the year will feature the Pentagon and a new raid. Episode 3, in early 2020, has a manhunt and looks like it’s heading back to New York.

Ubisoft’s new PC subscription service, Uplay Plus, is starting in September. It will have a library of over 100 games including DLC, and will also be available on Google Stadia starting next year.

Roller Champions is a new title from Ubisoft. The E3 demo will be available for the next few days on Uplay.

Yves Guillemot is on stage to announce Gods & Monsters coming February 25, 2020. It’s been described as similar to Breath of the Wild with greek mythology.

Ubisoft continues to lead the pack in supporting their games. Plenty of updates in this press conference but there was a lack of exciting new projects overall.
