What’s your name & how old are you? Luvkii Cosplay, I am 8 in Cosplay Years

How long have you been cosplaying? 8 years

What inspired you to start cosplaying? I have always been a fan of dress up and make believe as a kid. Cosplay is a way of living that out as an adult now! When I first started, I enjoyed watching cosplayer skits on youtube and it was a dream to do the same. I am glad I can say to little me that I somewhat accomplished that.

What was your First Cosplay? Hikaru Hitachiin from the Ouran High School Host Club. A pretty typical ‘baby’s first cosplay’

What is your most recent cosplay? I cosplayed Miguel and Tulio with my girlfriend, Deatharising (Helen)! It was such a fun throwback and they are such an iconic duo.

What cosplays are you currently working on? I have Junkenstein in progress, making that my third Junkrat skin from Overwatch. I just adore the character and he is one of my mains in the game. I love how much I can transform myself! It’s fun to get ugly and make my teeth brown and cover myself in dirt. Aside from that, I have some casual photoshoots planned with some other beloved characters so stay tuned~

Who are your favourite cosplayers in the community? I look up to Henchwench with every fibre of my being! I also adore Black Apple Cosplay and Ellenorton for their beautiful craftsmanship. Lisadashy is also the kind of Junkrat I aspire to be one day. I admire their commitment to their cosplays and always seeking improvement. That’s the kind of cosplayer I want to be. All of these people bring their characters to life so well! I am very lucky to have met them all and get some amazing tips.

Who else do you want to cosplay? My goals for 2019 are to do more cartoon cosplays. I would like to push myself with sewing and do a transforming dress this year as the Fairy God Mother from Shrek 2. Sewing is one of the skills I haven’t really mastered so it would be good practise and experience.

I would also be head over heals if my girlfriend did Jessica Rabbit. It would be exciting to work more with foam and maybe add in some cartoony proportions to my outfit when I do Roger Rabbit.

Tell us an odd fact about yourself! I can recite all of Shrek 2 with rhythmic precision from start to finish
