In news you may already know Marvel is bringing Spider-Man back with a new animated series! But wait you say, didn’t they just end a Spider-Man animated series? Well, yes.
At the end of last year we saw the end of the Ultimate Spider-Man series which was based loosely on the Bendis take of the wall crawler. While not strictly sticking to a canon the version of Spidey we saw did cross over with both the Guardians and Avengers series (which are still ongoing). So what is so different about the new series?
The new series, ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man’, follows a more Homecoming similar setting for Spidey and holding to the High School roots. While centred on Peter Parker this new series will also include characters such as Miles Morales as a student at the same school with Peter.
A lot of the details for this new series (including a US date for mid-August) were shown off at D23 last week, but today we can confirm that the series will be on Disney XD through Foxtel from August 25th for Australia. If you want more of what to expect from the series checkout the video below.
While we doubt it will have a theme song as catchy as the 90’s Spider-Man series, we still think this looks pretty good. Now if we could only get an Australian date for the new Ducktails with David Tennant….
