This Week in Games: Jun 26 – Jul 1

Hey, wanna buy some games? This week we are back into the flow with tonnes of titles on the big consoles. But before we jump into the full list, here are some highlights:

Starting off with an NSFW title on Monday, if you have ever wanted to play Rollercoaster Tycoon but disappointed by the lack of strip clubs then you may want to check Triple X Tycoon. This poke at the Tycoon series lets you relive the days of VHS vs Beta as you build up an empire.

Midweek we have to mention that there are new Silver and Gold edition PlayStation 4s hitting stores. Sure we saw these at E3 and maybe you don’t need a blinged out PS4 but we would remiss if we didn’t point out when the Gold and Silver PS3 came out it was just before the PS4 was announced, so start your wild speculating ahead of Gamescom in Germany or the PlayStation Experience in December.

On Friday it is here! Crash Bandicoot™ N. Sane Trilogy on PlayStation 4! You probably got an eye full of this during E3 but we can’t wait to go back and play all the originals from the series with them next gen updated graphics.

Also on Friday but via Steam for VR, Zombie Hobby VR is Superhot like VR experience that puts you in simulations where you take everyday items and use them to defend yourself against the zombie hoards. Think of it as a training simulator that is a little more Zombieland than Walking Dead.

Saturday and an Xbox One will get you Marvel Heroes Omega. For anyone who played (and loved) Marvel Ultimate Alliance, think of this as the spiritual successor with a few changes. In this free online MMO’esque/RPG title, you will need to pay to unlock additional characters, but we have been playing the Beta on PS4 for a few weeks now and haven’t paid a cent yet.

Honourable Mention – Sure, there is a new Atari console on the way but that is too far in the future to satisfy that 2600 gaming itch you have. Fortunately, on Saturday the Atari Classic Volume 1 & 2 will be released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 because we all need to play Pong on HDTVs. And if this isn’t your thing, there is always the Sonic for your phone.

If you bought any of these on the release day, tell us how it went! Also, as always did we miss anything? Something you are looking forward to more than anything else? Tell us in the comments
