E3: EA Play Trailer Recap

If you didn’t wake up at 5am to watch the EA Play Brief (we had it set in our PS4 Events to come on automatically) and our live tweeting, not to worry as we have the recap of all the trailers we saw here.

EA is all about games we saw a lot of that with FIFA18 (two trailers), NBA Live and Madden 18 (with FIFA heading to the Nintendo Switch). If any of those are your cup of blue milk then you can watch the trailers via the links above.

Outside of sports, we saw the next piece of DLC for Battlefield 1: In the Name of the Tsar. Love the snow.

We saw some new IPs such as the ever so brief Anthem from Bioware which was suggested to be on Xbox’s Scorpion with Frostbite engine so maybe we get a confirmed release date for that console tomorrow as part of the Microsoft conference.

Also in new IP was A Way Out, a 2 player split screen prison escape game which will ONLY be playable in coop split screen, either couch or online (they didn’t say anything about full screen for online coop).

And lastly, we saw the new instalments for Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Need for Speed: Payback franchises.

Payback looks like Fast and the Furious the game where you play a Vin Diesel/Paul Walker type setting so may be worth your coin if you are enjoying the open world driving genre.

The big news we thought was not the game play of Battlefront II (which was super pretty) or that it will use classes instead of the star cards from Battlefront 1, but confirmation that it will have season content for free. Yes, RIP season passes!

If you want to watch the full live broadcast it is also up to re-watching including a large segment of a live gameplay match of the Battlefront II using the Theed/Prequel era maps but you can watch a lot of the live gameplay parts of the broadcast via the link below.
