The Monster Makeup Massacre II

Netherworld & Pretty Little Thingz FX are excited present The Monster Makeup Massacre, returning for it’s second year!

After 2018’s hugely successful competition we’re thrilled to announce another comp coming February 23rd in 2019. We’ve gathered some of the best local SFX creatives to compete in an ‘Emerging Artists’ or ‘Pro’ category to create the best monsters their twisted minds can conjure up!

The comp will run in Fortitude Valley’s Netherworld on Saturday the 23rd of February (Please note: This is now a single day event so that more folks have an opportunity to be a part of it all!).

We’re inviting all monster and makeup fans down to be a part of SFX makeup chats, demos and the monster catwalk featuring the final monstrous products of every amazing makeup artist. The day will be hosted by Izzy Faith!

12:00 – Doors Open

12:30pm – Talk by Chad Atkinson Special FX Artist about his SFX workshop and life in the industry.

2:15pm – The Monster Catwalk for the Emerging Artists and Professional Categories

2.45pm – Winner announced

3:00pm – Monster Makeup Demo with Li-Sa Choi – Makeup Artist and Shy Designs

4:00pm – Q & A industry panel with the Monster Makeup judging team!

5:00pm – Monster after party!
