Boddington Medieval Fayre

The Boddington Medieval Fayre and Feast helds its first banquet and event in 2017 and due to the event being a massive success and very popular with both the local Boddington Community and supporting groups it was decided we should do it again.

Initially the idea was to focus on providing an opportunity for dressing up and celebrating the food and atmosphere of this time period so our first event was mainly focussed on a banquet. However, feedback and interest from various groups involved with reenactments, roleplay and authentic crafts of the era has encouraged us to do more. The venue at the Boddington Lions Rodeo Grounds is also perfect for such activities. The large old timber rails and horse arena are perfect for the added inclusion of horse battles and parades, fighting and archery etc and the “grand hall” or Rodeo ground undercover area, with its vine covered fencing and timber bar and stage areas are easily decorated to create a feeling of yesteryear.
