5BRIAR: NIGHT’S TERROR #1
You might be jumping in a bit late to the Briar Rose series from Boom Studios but let us tell you why you might want to pick it up. #1 It is a dark retelling of Sleeping Beauty where Sleeping Beauty has to rescue herself and #2 it is coming from Christopher Cantwell who you might know from Iron Man, Doom and most importantly the showrunner for Halt and Catch Fire.
4GIANT SIZED CRIMINAL #1
If the Brubaker series is one of your all time favourites then you should treat yo self this week with a special novella sized standalone addition to your favourite series. This is more than just a tie-in with it containing some background on a major character for the Criminal TV series adaption AND an tabletop RPG module. Yeah, we know – that is a lot.
3Rick And Morty The End #1
Let’s be clear, there will be a time when Rick and Morty will come to an end. It will be either the show deciding to end or a point where you really feel like you might have to tell it to look the other way while you tell it about the rabbits again. And for Oni Press this might be it with Rick and Morty The End beginning this week.
2Doctor Strange #1
Doctor Strange is no longer Sorcerer Supreme and despite a brief stay on Asgard to get his mojo back after Doom there is a new Sorcerer Supreme of Earth. But with the ‘Death of Thor’ Loki cut Asgard off from Midgard and now Stephen is stranded and needs to find his own way back home… or maybe not.
1STARTLING TALES OF SANTA CLAUSE #1
And for your Christmas comic tie-in as there is still time we are torn between Deck the Hall H horror tales from comic con or this book both from Image Comics this week. Both are anthologies but Startling Tales has Santa vs the Devil, Ms Claus vs The Huntsman, the Outlaw Krampus and one about a log that poops nougat.
