Comics Pull List – September 18

Happy New Comics Day! Welcome to the comics Pull List, where you will find all the new releases for this week. So if you are searching for something new to read, or just want to know what’s fresh, here are some highlights!

DEADPOOL/BATMAN #1

This is the Cubans baby, the Chohibas, the Montecristos. The cross over between DC and Marvel that cannot possibly live up to the original Amalgam DC vs Marvel but that won’t stop you from picking up every variant cover this week It’s the Marvel published Batman and Deadpool crossover dropping for Batman week but you still have the Batman/Deadpool issue from DC later this year too.

DC K.O. #1

Wondering what else is happening for Batman week at DC this week? DC K.O is the summer event for DC with Scott Snyder at the helm setting all of the Justice League in a battle royale tournament with the chance to stop Darkseid. How does this fit into the current state of the DCU and Absolute Universe? You have to pick up the issues to find out.

STAR WARS: BOBA FETT – BLACK WHITE & RED #1

If you aren’t familiar with Black White & Red it is a more noir standalone style that has been popular in the last few years letting a wide variety of writers and artists do standalone stories for everyone from Harley Quinn to Wolverine but limited to only 3 colours. And this week it is Boba Fett’s turn with current Ghost Rider (and now Punisher) scribe Benjamin Percy so well worth a look for some potentially pretty graphic Star Wars.

MARVEL ZOMBIES: RED BAND #1

Keeping it going with something gritty, with the Marvel Zombies limited animated series spinning out of that What If episode coming to Disney+ later this month the Red Band (maximum gritty) is dropping this week. Not a reprint of the original Marvel Zombies (or the Ultimate Fantastic Four issues where they first appeared before crossing over with the Army of Darkness) but a new story for anyone who wants to jump in anew.

CREEPSHOW #1

And lastly if you want more zombie inclined horror then the anthology series Creepshow is coming back for another 5 issue miniseries from Image comics. Every issue has 2 horror stories from a roundtable of creatives with Jeremy Adams kicking it off this week.
