4Justice League Vs Godzilla Vs Kong 2 #1
Starting with some DC in a VERY heavy Marvel week we have the Big-G returning to DC, sorta. Last time it was The Injustice Society weaponising and bringing Titans to Superman’s earth, this time the Justice League is following Task Force X to the Legendary one to stop them from collecting specimens that would allow Waller to create her own Titans. Basically, if you liked Superman vs Godzilla last time, here is some more.
3IMPERIAL #1 (OF 4)
Hold on to ya butts for a lot of Marvel events happening this week with the next mainline 616 event with Hickman in the helm and it is going Cosmic. He has already done reality with Secret Wars, then Krakoa for the Mutants, then GODS for the mystic, now intergalactic with Imperial to set yet another new world order for Marvel.
2ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN INCURSION #1
Not the next big event but definitely the pre-cursor to it with the Ultimate Universe and the 616 crossing over, sorta. The original Ultimate Universe was destroyed during Hickman’s Secret Wars with only the Maker and Miles Morales (and some others) surviving. During Ultimate Invasion the Maker recreated a new Ultimate Universe but not before offering Miles Morales a chance to join him. Now it looks like the Spot has managed to drop Miles into the new Ultimate Universe which is complete with a different Ultimate Peter Parker.
1MARVEL KNIGHTS THE WORLD TO COME #1 (OF 6)
And lastly not really an alternate universe but the return of the Marvel Knights line this time taking it as the future of the 616. If you were reading comics around the 2000s you probably have some familiarity with the gritty Marvel in the Marvel Knights and MAX series. Not really 616 and not really an alt reality take but definitely a more R rated with the likes of Punisher and Deadpool being featured but even the Fantastic Four not being left alone. This return sets up a possible future of the 616 with Wakanda being the centre.
