This week’s new game releases go hard in every direction — from neon-lit cop chaos and medieval hell-slaying prequels, to escape-room dystopias and puzzle-skating daydreams. Whether you’re dodging traffic at 200mph, building a cursed dungeon one card at a time, or just trying to keep your reality TV ratings up long enough to not get vaporised, there’s something here to fry every neuron in the best way possible. But before we get to the full list, here are your highlights:
The Precinct hits Xbox and PlayStation Tuesday, then Steam and Epic on Wednesday… and if you’ve ever wished the original top down GTA swapped criminals for cops and dialled the neon way, way up, this one’s for you. You’re a rookie in a 1980s hellhole where every car chase leaves a trail of twisted metal and every gang war smells like hairspray and conspiracy. It’s all top-down chaos, destructible streets, and backing up your shootouts with spike strips and squad cars because this time, you are the Po-Po not the Po-Po’e.
American Arcadia drops Thursday on PlayStation and Switch, and it’s the first of two story-driven games this week that caught our eye back when it debuted at one of those fancy dev showcases. Half puzzle-platformer, half first-person hacker, it’s a Truman Show-style escape thriller where your life depends on keeping the ratings up and it still looks just as slick and intriguing as it did the first time we saw it.

DOOM: The Dark Ages rips and tears its way onto PlayStation 5 and Steam this Thursday, and honestly… you’re Doom Guy again, do you really need more than that? This time it’s medieval, metal-as-hell, and absolutely soaked in demon blood, with a Shield Saw that doubles as a buzzsaw boomerang. It’s a prequel, it’s brutal, and it’s basically what happens when you throw a heavy metal album cover into a blender with the Bible and a rocket launcher.
Hannah’s Day flips onto Xbox and Switch this Friday after quietly vibing on Steam for a while. We first spotted this one during a game showcase ages ago, and now it’s finally making its console debut (some consoles). A puzzle adventure about chasing your dreams (and also skateboarding on ceilings), it features tilt-the-world mechanics, trippy 3D puzzles, and a slick, stylised look that feels built for the Switch. Bring your friends, dodge your doubts, and maybe stick the landing. Look after Doom you need something to cleanse those dark thoughts of rage and death metal with something a little more… Pixar.
Neon Apex: Beyond the Limit speeds onto PlayStation and Switch this Friday, aiming squarely for that part of your brain that still hums the Daytona USA theme in the shower. It’s all neon-drenched highways, 200mph boosts, and retro-future style as humans, cyborgs, and others all race for dominance in 2124. No Steam release (yet), but if you’ve been craving some Ridge Racer-adjacent chaos with a sci-fi twist, this one’s revving right at you.
Honourable Mention: And our honourable mention this week goes to Into the Restless Ruins, creeping onto PlayStation, Switch, and Steam this Thursday with a blend of roguelike deckbuilding and retro dungeon-crawling weirdness. You build the labyrinth one card at a time, then battle through your own cursed creation with just enough strategy, Scottish folklore, and pixel tension to make it feel like Joust and Slay the Spire had a baby, a cursed baby, a baby that will one day have to fight 100 floors of demons to get to you and defeat you but then at the last moment you say Luke (because you named the baby Luke) Luke I AM your father… Oh there’s a demo on Steam if you want to test the vibes before lighting your torch.
