ARCBOUND #1
Coming out of Dark Horse this week is another new one from Scott Snyder but also Frank Tieri AND Eddie Brock (aka Tom Hardy). Set against a wasteland earth is a story with someone getting access to unexplained technology and messages from mysterious entity. Basically this might need you to jump on from the beginning to know what is going on.
GI JOE (2024) #1
Void Rivals, Transformers and then a bunch of GI Joe prequels have been building the new Hasbro joint Energon Universe and now a new ongoing book joins with GI Joe #1. Also penned by Transformers scribe Joshua Williamson so you know it is going to be good even if you never got into the cartoon (which was pretty big in the US but not here).
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #61
New creative team for Amazing Spider-Man starts here! Better known for his Deadpool Joe Kelly is taking over ASM in a post Blood Hunt world where Doctor Doom has taken the mantle of the Sorcerer Supreme. We aren’t sure exactly how long this creative team will be on the book with the 8 Deaths of Spider-Man but bonus being it isn’t restarting at #1 again.
PSYLOCKE #1
Not content with the choices of X-Books? Need your favourite 90s X-Man to have her own standalone book? Betsy Braddock not the true Psylocke for you? Alyssa Wong has been doing some great stuff lately (we did also love her Deadpool run) but now she is on a new ongoing with Kwannon carving through the underbelly of the Marvel Universe (and yes there is a lot of variant covers).
ABSOLUTE BATMAN NOIR EDITION #1
And we don’t normally mention reprints or variants but given how insane the supply for Absolute Batman #1 was and how many of you may have missed out on a first print… this week Absolute Batman #1 is getting a Noir re-release in that black and white style that suits pulp fiction books so well and if you have not read this one yet, it is the perfect choice for this book too.
