BATMAN & ROBIN: YEAR ONE #1
While a lot of new creative teams for DC are kicking off with All In this week in Catwoman and Titans (while some of the other titles are still deep in their own arcs) if you are in need of more Mark Waid after Absolute Power then Batman & Robin: Year One might be for you. Mark Waid might not be known for his Batman outside of his World’s Finest and Kingdom Come works but it doen’t mean we are not going to check it out.
MOON KNIGHT FIST OF KHONSHU #1
You want to know one of the best Marvel books you might not be reading right now? Moon Knight with Jed McKay. McKay is on so many books right now with most of his work being directly involved with the Blood Hunt event but Moon Knight is really where it is at with Marc Spector going from Avengers Parolee to host of the Midnight Mission to having a team to dying and now coming back again. Basically, get this.
ODDLY PEDESTRIAN LIFE HALLOWEEN SPECIAL #1
If The Oddly Pedestrian Life of Christopher Chaos from Department of Truth and Batman scribe James Tynion IV was one of your favourite books then you will want to look out for the Halloween special hitting shelves this week. With more than one story happening in this special it gives you a chance to revisit some of the ensemble cast of the series.
ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #10
And we are going to tell you one more time that you should be reading Ultimate Spider-Man by Jonathan Hickman. You don’t even need to be reading any of the other Ultimate books to know what is going on (roughly) outside of it being a completely different universe to the 616. While you might want to own it for the cover alone did you know that this book is being told in real time with this October issue being set in October (and last month being last month)?
