Survive being locked in a corporate office, shooting in VR, Pixar meets Alan Wake and adventure with your magic scarf is some of the gaming you have ahead of you this week. But before we get to the full list, here are your highlights:
Coming from the now veteran VR game developer nDreams who have been behind a lot of VR including Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord, Powerwash Simulator VR and Far Cry VR is a new title for the PSVR out this Tuesday. Synapse mixes FPS gunplay with telekinetic abilities. This is one of the first games that we have seen that will truly take advantage of the PSVR2 eye tracking and controls so definitely one worth a look if you have a headset.
Coming this Wednesday for PlayStation and Thursday for Xbox is the platformer Scarf. More on the short and sweet side this has some puzzles and 3d platforming as you explore with your dragon shaped scarf. And if consoles aren’t your thing then you can also pick this up on the Steam summer sale where it is currently 67% off.
Gylt is a creepy narrative action game where you play as a small child in an old mining town trying to track down her little cousin Emily. Think what if Pixar made Alan Wake. It is coming to PlayStation, Xbox and via Steam on Friday.
Honourable Mention: And our honourable mention this week goes to something a little more survival’y with the isometric mystery Unstoppable. Playing in the isometric style you are a courier who while making a delivery to a corporate office is subject to a gas attack which has driven the people in the building into lunatics. This is a Steam only release for Monday.
