It is a light week with a lot of gaming press events happening right now with no doubt some last minute drops, but if you are looking for the best of the rest make sure you take a relaxing holiday in painted scenery, fix others as a doctor pigeon, live ATARI dreams in VR or build the roller coaster park of your dreams. But before we get to the full list, here are your highlights:
Easily the prettiest game this week is Dordogne coming to Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and through Steam this Wednesday. Following a painting art style this is an adventure title where you are play as a small child revisiting memories of visiting her grandmother and it just looks really good.
Also in adventures this week is Fall of Porcupine which has you managing work-life balance in a not so healthy healthcare system. The twist being that you and all your patience’s are animals making this fall somewhere between Bojack Horseman, Scrubs and Night in the Woods. It is coming to PlayStation, Switch and via Steam on Thursday with Xbox release on Friday.
Park Beyond is the new Bandai take on Roller Coaster Tycoon to have you unlock your dreams of running your own Disneyland without a global mouse based creative enterprise. Play through as a campaign or just go unlimited budget for the park sandbox mode. Get this on PlayStation on Thursday or for Xbox and through Steam on Friday.
Honourable Mention:And our honourable mention this week goes to some PSVR and Steam VR gaming with Pixel Ripped 1978 dropping on Thursday. Adding to the Pixel Ripped series that saw you playing retro games while trying not to get caught this new edition adds a VR layer bringing you instead an Atari inspired world with it coming out for those platforms alone.
And second our honourable mention this week goes out to… all the games that will be announced right after this goes out with Xbox holding it’s not-E3 press conference for the weekend. Not the only event that has happened over the weekend with the Summer Games Fest and Ubisoft also holding events on upcoming games. With this week not having a lot of big blockbuster titles and given the last Xbox presser, we are willing to bet there will be one or two secret drops for this week.
