Play in the League of Legends, Lord of the Rings and Star Trek fandoms, roam far off planets, meet cyberpunk dinosaurs and a new place for deck building is some of the gaming you have to look forward to this week. But before we get to the full list, here are your highlights:
Starting the week with the League of Legends die-hards is a platform/side scroller set in the LoL universe with CONVERGENCE: A League of Legends Story. Dropping on Tuesday for PlayStation and Xbox for the consoles and via the Epic Store or Steam for PC this has you controlling Ekko and using his unique rewind time ability to solve puzzles and use in combat in this single player story title.
Keeping in a week full of fan service is Star Trek: Resurgence coming for Xbox on Wednesday (and PC via the Epic Store on Tuesday). You play as an ensign on board a Star Fleet craft which has you living out your Star Trek fantasies including flying shuttles, using phases, tricorders and… well lots of obeying or disobeying orders really.
And one more for the fandoms this week with a new Lord of the Rings single player game. Playing as the LOTR Jekyll and Hyde you will quest to retrieve your previous from the mountains of Mordor. Set as a parallel to The Fellowship of the Rung expect a lot of stealth and platforming when you play this on PlayStation or Xbox on Thursday, or get it on PC via the Epic Store or Steam on Friday.
And lastly for Friday we could not go past mentioning the cyberpunk dinosaur based adventure of Dynopunk dropping on Steam. Much like the plot of the original Super Mario movie dinosaurs evolved in place of humanity and you run a repair shop that fixes gadgets and basically gives you a chance to interact with your customers.
Honourable Mention: And our honourable mention this week goes to a title that was due to come out on a while back but making it’s way to Xbox and Steam on Wednesday, Planet of Lana. This one is a side scrolling adventure/puzzle where you are on an alien world exploring some pretty cinematic places in a side scrolling adventure.
