It’s now only a few months away from release but the prequel to the more popular sequel to the original Red Dead game is nearly here. After more than expecting E3 only to be told ‘next year’ the game is headed to XBox and PlayStation later this year. So the latest more story focused trailer dropping last night is well timed.
What do we know? Well where the original Red Dead Redemption was set in 1911 in the decline of the ‘old west’ the new game is set earlier in 1899. The new game does not follow the not quite the retried/semi-retired/Pale Rider’esque John Marston but puts you in the shoes of Arthur Morgan a member of the Van der Linde gang.
While we don’t know too much about the game play outside of it containing the Rockstar staples of single and online modes, there isn’t anything yet to suggest that it will contain the character switching mechanic that we loved in GTAV (but John Marston is said to be a returning character so there is some hope).
But enough about that you can check out the full trailer below and be engorged by Rockstar’s signature for character animation and deep story line, even with this 2 minute 14 second trailer and then tell us what you think.
