It’s been a busy day in the TARDIS with the full cast of potential companions being announced today along with confirmed details as to the length of the new season. Straight out of the BBC, three new cast members were announced for the new season joining Jodie Whittaker for adventuring through Space and Time.
Mandip Gill, Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole and the not pictured Sharon D. Clarke have been announced for the new season. While its not clear if some or all are intended to be companions, (we do know that Sharon D. Clarke has a ‘returning’ role so may show up in the Christmas episode) at least we don’t have to wait too long to find out.
Following the planned Christmas episode which will be screening on ABC and iView this Boxing Day for Australia (as the current Doctor, Peter Capaldi’s last) the new season will start with an feature length hour long episode. The first episode is one of ten planned for the next season which makes it shorter than previous episodes.
There is no airdate currently announced for the new season but right now we can confirm that ABC will be carrying it for Australia via ABC and iView.
