1JAY & SILENT BOB: JAY’S OF FUTURES PAST #1
If you have been reading the 616 over the last year you probably have noticed an easter egg of Jay and Silent Bob showing up in the background – but was that an Easter Egg or was it telling us about something to come? From Kevin Smith (of course) the Mallrats timeline J&SB are going to get some Superhero fatigue.
2MASK #1
If MASK crusaders working overtime fighting crime tickles that part of your brain then you are going to need to pickup MASK #1 dropping this week. Not only is this 80s series making a return it is part of the growing Energon Universe along with other Hasbro properties like Transformers and GI Joe. Miles Mayhem has been showing up in current Transformers issues and Matt Trakker was in the Energon special so it is not like this was not teased.
3AVENGERS: ARMAGEDDON #1
The next big Marvel event is here and it looks to be a little bit more than a single book tie-in becoming a Summer crossover with Chip Zdarsky coming in right after Jed MacKay’s Avengers run that just finished up. FF, Avengers, Wolverine (I guess the X-Men are busy) and probably more than a little of a hype maker for the upcoming Avengers Doomsday this year.
4SKATE ALI #1
In a small town where dance is outlawed… no wait, in LA of the future where Skateboarding is outlawed they dont have Kevin Bacon but they do have Skate Ali who is deep in the underground skating circuit. Coming from Sam Humphrey and Kelly Sue McCormick this probably ticks your non-superhero comic quota for this week.
