Star Wars goes Anime with Star Wars Visions Release Date and Trailer

It will be a day long remembered by fans of both Star Wars and anime with the anthology series Star Wars: Visions coming to Disney+ next month and a confirmed date plus trailer dropping earlier this morning.

From Jedi and Sith to Bounty Hunters to Podracing the series comes from 7 Anime Studios based in Japan who have produced the content in the style and methods of traditional Japanese anime with each of the 9 episodes actually in the original Japanese as well as an English dub. The dubs include names like Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett and other notable names like Lucy Liu and Joseph Gordon-Levitt  in the cast list.

There will be 9 episodes all up starting September 22nd on Disney+ with the complete episode list titles being made available with the voice casting announcements today. While some are a bit clearer than others (clearly you go to Tatooine for Podracing) the trailer itself looks to have a wide selection of locales and time periods with Stormtroopers appearing in addition to Sith we can only assume if not elseworlds are from the Old Republic (or the newly defined High Republic) era.

  • The Duel
  • Tatooine Rhapsody
  • The Twins
  • The Village Bride
  • The Ninth Jedi
  • T0-B1
  • The Elder
  • Lop & Ochō
  • Akakiri

You can check out the full trailer below but dont forget to tell us what you think? Are you hyped for some Anime Star Wars?
