If you have read comics or a mild fan of Zombies you might be familiar with the name Robert Kirkman. While most may jump straight to the Walking Dead, Kirkman has a library of comic creations including the basis for the forthcoming Amazon Prime animated series – Invincible.

We have been hearing rumblings about casting and other news about Invincible for the last year with the animated series seemingly being one of the few that were able to progress during the last year of pandemic. The Invincible Twitter account has been fairly active posting casting and the occasional short from the upcoming series but over the weekend we got a full trailer and confirmation of a release date just over a month away!

For anyone who doesn’t know about the 100+ issue series (which is available in 25 separate Trade Paperbacks or 12 Hardcovers at your favourite local Australian Comic Book Store), Invincible is the story of Mark Grayson, son of the greatest superhero on earth Omni-Man. Mark is just a normal 17 year old, he really is because when we first meet Mark his powers have yet to develop but when they kick in they do in a big way. Originally appearing in his own comic in 2003 and coming from the Walking Dead creator Invincible isn’t the world of DC or Marvel but a slightly more bloody one where heroes bleed and when you have someone who can punch a hole in the planet, things can get messy.

You can check out the full trailer below but the release date is not far away at all with the first 3 episodes premiering at once at the end of next month, but what do you think? Are you up for some more bloody superheroes on your Amazon Prime? Are there any other Robert Kirkman/Image Comics you want to get the live action or animated treatment? Will the Walking Dead be the first series to get to a solid 100 seasons before finishing? Let us know in the comments down below

The first 3 episodes of Invincible the animated series are heading to Amazon Prime on March 26
