What’s On: Sep 4 – 10

Fairies and Monsters in a Victorian Murder Mystery on Amazon Prime, Stephen King in Cinemas, the Sydney SciFi Film Festival and that is all without even mentioning Nexus in Coffs Harbour or the Bundabergs Bundy Pop Con this weekend. Here is your guide to everything happening this week in Geek across Australia.

1On Streaming/TV

Technically it started last week but we didn’t get to tell you that Carnival Row has started on Amazon Prime Globally. Orlando Bloom plays a human detective who teams up with Cara Delevingne a Fairy in a Victorian-set fantasy world to solve a string of murders. All 8 episodes dropped at once in true binge style so you don’t have to wait you can check this out any time you want this week.

2In Cinemas

After a few weeks, your new movie dry spell has ended with Stephen King’s It Part 2 coming to cinemas this Thursday across Australia. Following on the first It film to confirm all your fears about clowns, head back later this week for our full spoiler-free review.

Need more movies? Also, this week is the Sydney SciFi Festival. On across 3 days at various cinemas around Sydney, the festival brings you a massive amount of films and short films in the sci-fi genre that you might otherwise not get to see. Jump over to the SciFi Festival website and check out the full programme for some of the films you can catch.

3Stuff To Go Do

There are tons of awesome regional cons on around the country this week. Head to Bundy Pop Culture Con on this Saturday in Bundaberg or Nexus 2019 in Coffs Harbour this weekend. We love regional cons and if you want to see more of them and help them get bigger and better every year make sure you go and show your support.
