What’s your name & how old are you? My name is Christian Pillirone and I am 32 years old. Some say I still look like I’m in my early twenties which is a nice compliment. I think it’s the silver hair that makes me look my age haha Which is why I’ve been nicknamed “The Silver Spidey” by my friends and it has stuck with me.

How long have you been cosplaying? I started last year at Oz Comic-Con in Melbourne, cosplaying as Spider-Man and been doing it ever since! It was only until recently where it just hit me that it had been year now that I’ve been cosplaying and can say I’m proud to be a part of the community and enjoying the journey so far.

What inspired you to start cosplaying? I was working at Oz Comic-Con a couple of years ago promoting a series I worked on and was inspired by all the cosplayers at the event. I loved the atmosphere, the creativity and how people got so much into character that motivated me to try the year after to get into cosplay.

What was your First Cosplay? I’ve been dressing up and in costume since I was a kid! But I’d have to say that my first serious cosplay was when I wore my comic style Ultimate Spider-Man to Oz Comic Con last year.

What is your most recent cosplay? My new Far From Home suit is the most recent cosplay I’ve done. I was happy too because it finished just before the movie has come out.

What cosplays are you currently working on? Currently I’m not working on anything as I just finished my Far From Home cosplay. But I have so many cosplays I’m planning on doing soon.

Who are your favourite cosplayers in the community? I have so many cosplayers that inspire me in the community. Leon Chiro has always been my role model in cosplay and someone I looked up to. I’ve always loved Kamui Cosplays work and motivates me to do more armour build cosplays of my own. Cosplay Chris is one of my local heroes and love the guys personality and energy.

Who else do you want to cosplay? I do want to work on a Fumikage Tokoyami cosplay from My Hero Academia for Madman Anime Festival in September. I also want to update and add a few details to my Brandon Lees The Crow cosplay which I did for a Halloween costume party last year. When summer comes around and it’s warm (not loving the cold Melbourne weather right now!) I’m going to work on Disney’s Tarzan cosplay. As for my Spidey cosplay I’m going to get a symbiote suit next.

Tell us an odd fact about yourself! Is being a perfectionist odd? Hehe
