The biggest gaming event on the calendar E3 is less than 2 weeks away! And while not all of us have the means to jump on a plane to Los Angeles to check out the conference in person Microsoft is bringing their event to you.
With Sony looking to skip a briefing all together this year with last year only being a collection of clips and opting for the more regular PlayStation Experience briefings, similar to Nintendo, Microsoft looks to be the big event for this year’s E3. Kicking off first on Monday morning AEST June 10th, you don’t need to travel to the US to attend with streaming for all remaining briefings but thanks to Microsoft you can walk the green carpet in your capital city and watch the briefing at your own local event.
Screening at Hoyts in every capital city (except Darwin and Hobart, sorry) you can pick up a ticket for a special Microsoft E3 event. Streamed live onto a cinema screen. Along with the already longer Microsoft Briefing, your ticket comes with a ‘Gold Class’ breakfast, a Swagbag AND if you can stick around for it a full screening of X-Men: Dark Phoenix (out June 6th). That’s a lot of stuff for a $20 ticket on top of all proceeds going to the CREATE Foundation.
You can book your ticket now for Sydney (Broadway or Wetherill Park), Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide or Brisbane (and Mt Wellington for anyone heading to New Zealand) with tickets, of course, being limited and starting at 6 AM AEST.
We will do our best to bring you the round-ups of all the briefings this year but Microsoft looks to be the big ticket with only Bethesda, Devolver Digital, Ubisoft, Square Enix and Nintendo also looking to have events at this stage and the likes of EA and Sony skipping. Regardless we expect to see some big announcements this year and if you want to see the Microsoft ones first the best way (outside of streaming while in your PJs or flying to LA) is to pick up a ticket to the Green Carpet.
