It’s no wonder the Spoiler embargo had to be lifted today with the new trailer for the final film in the MCU Phase 3 dropping all the Endgame spoilers when it was released overnight. While it’s mentioned right at the beginning of this trailer, if you haven’t seen Endgame yet don’t continue and go see Endgame now. We will be here when you come back.
We have already had a pretty good look at the next Spider-Man film with the previous teaser trailers but this latest shows how much the new Sony/Disney film connects with the events of the Un-Snap. Focusing more on the Nick Fury side of Spider-Man’s European vacation we find out that Mysterio appearing in the previous trailers is actually from a parallel earth with the Infinity Gauntlet snaps actually tearing a hole in – the MULTIVERSE.
While the concept of a multiverse in the MCU is not news with Doctor Strange defending earth from threats outside the MCU dimension this is the first time that someone without magic is able to cross. Seemingly borrowing from the Spider-Men storyline (from before Spider-Verse) where Peter Parker and Miles Morales team up after Mysterio caused them to cross dimensions, we see Mysterio working with a reformed SHIELD.
Spider-Man Far from Home is only 2 months away from releasing July 1st and we are sure we can fit in a few more rewatches of Endgame before that, but this is big news for the MCU and more than likely a big piece of what Phase 4 will look like when we get closer to SDCC.
But what do you think? Are you looking forward to Spider-Man’s Infinity Epilogue? Are you happy to see the Multiverse become a bigger piece of the MCU? Do you think we will see Deadpool in the post-credits scene for FFH? Tell us what you think in the comments down below.
Spider-Man Far from Home is in Australian Cinemas July 1st
