There is tons happening this week – She-Ra Season 2 on Netflix, Australia’s Street Fighter Championships at the 1up Arcade and BrisCon Tabletop Gaming in Brisbane. Oh and there is this little film you may not have heard about coming out too, Avengers: End Game. Here is your guide to Everything happening this week in Geek across Australia.

1On Streaming/TV

It’s a short week with a mid-week public holiday right after Easter but that isn’t stopping Netflix from dropping Season 2 of the awesome Dreamwork’s She-Ra reboot. Good reboots are few and far between but after the great Voltron series also by Dreamworks Animation She-Ra has been in good hands. Season One is still available for binging but if you are already up to speed then Season 2 hits Netflix this Friday.

2In Cinemas

It’s here. A year ago Thanos wiped out half the known universe in the MCU when he acquired every Infinity Stone and snapped them out of existence in Infinity War. This Wednesday part two of the Infinity War saga hits cinemas with Avengers: End Game.

This is the big one and our spoiler-free review will be out later today but if you are seeing it (or spoilers from other sources) remember Doctor Strange saw 14 million possible endings and didn’t tell anyone.

3Stuff To Go Do

Have you or any member of your family seen a spook, spectre or ghost? If the answer is yes then the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is ready to believe you this week with a live performance to go with a screening of the original Ghostbusters. There are only a few performances of this but let’s be honest – you would watch this again even without the orchestra backing.

If you are in Brisbane you have a hard decision to make because this Saturday is the Ultimate Streetfighter Tournament at the 1Up Arcade who are looking for Australia’s best Street Fighter champion across all 6 generations of the game. You will be playing for the mantle and a nice cash prize. But if video gaming isn’t your thing then also in Brisbane for Tabletop gamers is BrisCon! Starting this Saturday and going all weekend is the Brisbane Gaming Society’s annual event aiming to top the previous year with more games, demos, vendors and more.
