What’s your name & how old are you? Hannah Parkins and I am 26 years old

How long have you been cosplaying? About two years now

What inspired you to start cosplaying? Well I had always felt like I didn’t really belong. I was always different from my family and other students growing up. I have always been a massive nerd! I had always tried to hide it, but then one day I saw a cosplay video clip on youtube and after that I knew that is where I belonged. I no longer wanted to hide my nerdy side, so instead I decided to express it the best way you can!

What was your First Cosplay? My first ever cosplay I did at a convention was Saiyagirl from Dragon ball Z

What is your most recent cosplay? My most recent cosplay was Fem Majin Vegeta From Dragon Ball Z and Mine from Akame Ga Kill!

What cosplays are you currently working on? I don’t currently have a lot in the works now that its getting close to the end of the year, but for Sydney Oz Comic CoCon I am making Honoka Kousaka (Kira Kira Sensation ver.) from Love Live! School Idol Project.

Who are your favourite cosplayers in the community? I actually have a few but I would have to say Henchwench, Violet Element Cosplay and Yaya Han

Who else do you want to cosplay? Oh jeez! My list is way too long! I have so many characters that I love but so little time to do them all! I guess if I had to pick a top few it would be Madoka Kaname from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Anna from Frozen, Piccolo from Dragon Ball Z.

Tell us an odd fact about yourself! I grew up never having a creative bone in my body! I was terrible at painting, sewing and drawing. If you told me 10 years ago that I would be making things as a hobby, I would have laughed and told you you were crazy! Even to this day I have no idea how I pull together a cosplay, just a lot of luck I guess!

If you’d like to see more of Geek Chic Cosplay you can follow her on Facebook and Instagram AND if you want to be featured in a future cosplay spotlight, hit follow and slide into our DMs OR if you are headed to OzComiccon this weekend, come visit me! In person! Show off your Cosplay (and maybe be a future CosFriday) I’ll be at the Part Time Hero Props Stand #74 in Artists Alley this weekend!
