In the House continues at Event Cinemas with La Femme Nikita this Friday night at participating cinemas. There is only one session so don’t delay in picking up tickets.

Super psyched about the new Harry Potter store in Brisbane but dont have anywhere to wear your new house robes? WizardFest has been touring the country and this Friday it’s in Brisbane! This 18+ event promises everything from Chocolate Frogs to tasty Potions so make sure you accio a ticket.

And lastly if you hear the words Arnie Double Feature you probably only thing 2 films, Predator and the Terminator and both of those are playing as a Double Feature this Friday night at Brisbane‘s Metro Arts! Tickets are available right now and we cant really thing of how this could be made better (except for maybe a triple feature with the Running Man)

Saturday

From Edward Scissorhands to Michael Keaton’s Batman for all things Tim Burton head to the Brightside in Brisbane for A Night of Tim Burton. From Wonka Candy to Beetlejuice Photobooths to Trivia by Man vs Trivia there is a hell of a lot happening this Saturday night.

If you are after some eSports action (and can’t get to Sydney to attend in person) on Saturday you can catch the ANZ CSGO Finals Qualifier hosted by ESL while this major sponsored event will be happening live you can catch the action stream live.

Sunday

Looking for a reason to drink mead from a horn? This Sunday at Mt Tambourine south of Brisbane is Viking Culture Day. Watch re-enactments, see Viking battles and really what sunday is completely without a visit to the Blacksmith?

Also in Brisbane it is an all Oz/Car double feature as part of Netherworld’s Two-Bit Cinema with 1974 Peter Weird classic The Cars That Ate Paris followed by 1982 Dystopian classic Turkey Shoot. It’s all free and on this Sunday Night.

In Canberra if you have heard all about this AR/Hololens thing you might want to check out the Reload Bar on Friday night for their big AR event as they have been making their own app! This might be the first time ever there has been an AR Bar in Australia so check it out if you want to say you did it before it was cool.

And lastly for Friday if you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball as the Tawainese Student Association is having a Dodgeball competition at Sydney‘s Macquarie University. The match is for TSA members for free but non-members can also enter for a small fee, so if you and your friends were looking for a reason to get matching jerseys for your fantasy dodgeball team, this is it.

Saturday

If you are after some eSports action in Sydney on Saturday you can catch the ANZ CSGO Finals Qualifier hosted by ESL in Sydney. While the full action will be streamed online if you are in Sydney you can pickup tickets to watch the action in person.

Also on Wednesday at Bartronica in Melbourne for anyone who thinks Mario Kart is just too easy join the Crash Racing as part of Bartronica’s Wednesday night tournament. The entry fee gets you a free pint of something and you compete for that sweet lootbox of Bartronica goodies.

And lastly not on this Wednesday but tickets do go on sale, grab some seats to see the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra as they accompany a screening of The Force Awakens (right before you will be able to see The Last Jedi). We don’t know how fast tickets will sell out but if it’s anything like other sessions like this they wont be around for long.
