First Star Wars: Forces of Destiny short with Rey is Out

First announced as part of Star Wars Celebration earlier this year, Star Wars: Forces of Destiny is a series of animated shorts centred around the Female characters of the Star Wars Universe.

The full trailer as part of the announcement showed as part of Celebration showed scenes with Ahsoka Tano (Clone Wars), Princess Leia (Episode 4-7), Jyn Erso (Rogue One) and of course Rey (The Force Awakens). The full 16 part miniseries will also be supported by toys & tie-books and is expected to be considered canon (sort of like the Genndy Tartakovsky animated Clone Wars).

The first episode is up now with the focus on Rey and BB-8.

The full series will be on Disney XD in the US but lucky for us Disney also are releasing all episodes online (without region restrictions) and the first one went up overnight. Expect more of these in the lead up to The Last Jedi release with all 16 episodes to be available via Star Wars and Disney’s YouTube channels.

The Last Jedi hits cinemas Worldwide this November.
