Star Wars IX shooting pushed back

In pretty sad news we have learnt that the schedule for Star Wars IX has been pushed back to January next year to begin filming.

From the information available as part of additional casting calls suggest that the script is getting some work done due to the untimely death of Carrie Fisher earlier this year. With Princess (General) Leia originally being a major role in the upcoming film changes are made to create new lead and supporting roles to fill the void as the story requires.

We do not think this will result in a change of release date with Disney, being one of the few groups we believe to have the ability to actually move mountains (not figuratively) to make it the date happen.

While this may not be news to some the bigger takeaway was that the Episode IX screenplay was in a final state requiring changes meaning that even after the film comes out there will be an ‘alternate’ version for our minds to speculate over for years to come.

But what do you think? Do you want to know the Star Wars IX that might have been? Is a Marvel Star Wars ‘What If’ title possible? Should Star Wars have an alternate timeline? Tell us in the comments down below.

Star Wars Episode IX is scheduled for May 2019 release worldwide.
