Still playing Prey from last week but were searching for something new to play? Well, this week will provide! Here are some selected highlights regarding the week to come.
First up on the 15th Iced is a tense survival game set on a frozen tundra where the goal is to avoid freezing to death and succumbing to the harsh environment releasing on Steam.
On the 16th, VR owners will be able to play ALaLa: Wake Mi Up! on Steam, a quirkily-titled family party game involving a VR headset.
Mid-week on the 17th, the biggest release of the week for many is Injustice 2, the long-awaited sequel to Netherrealm’s 2013 DC Comics title releasing on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
Also on the 17th PSVR fans are getting a new peripheral with the PS Aim Controller for release with Far Point. FPS are not new on other VR platforms but we are interested to see what other future titles will come out with support for this new device.
On the 18th if you are in the mood for a top-down medieval hack n’ slasher Runic Rampage will be released on Steam. Perfect for anyone who enjoyed Diablo but didn’t think it had enough dwarves in it.
Tarantino fans will also have something to look forward to on the 19th, with the release of Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days on Steam (Xbox One release planned for later this year). This top-down shooter gives fans a chance to revisit the setting in this unique strategic heist movie.
And rounding out your weekend you can have your choice on Steam of a curious indie farm-based online shooter where guns are planted and grown by players with Shotgun Farmers -OR- The Infectious Madness of Dr Dekker, a strange FMV game also releasing on Steam where you play as a psychologist who treats patients, who will respond to questions with fully acted full-screen video.
Honourable mention – If you are in the mood for a cyberpunk shoot ’em up on Steam then the 17th also sees the GRIDD: Retroenhanced, an indie title with a Tron-like feel (and soundtrack) that we are keen to get our hands on.
If you bought any of these on the release day, tell us how it went! Also, as always did we miss anything? Something you are looking forward to more than anything else? Tell us in the comments
