We are taking you all the way to Boxing Day with events this weekend, with so many great movies coming out right after Christmas and the Doctor Who special, we would hate for you to miss out on anything! Here is everything happening across Australia this week.

Queensland

Wednesday

There are a ton of movies coming out on Tuesday but if a full day is too much for you catch a preview session of Downsizing at the newly opened Dendy Cooperoo in Brisbane.

Thursday

Doing something awesome we missed in Queensland for your Thursday night? Let us know in the comments down below.

Friday

The newly restored Elizabeth Street cinemas in Brisbane brings you what you really wanted for Christmas with The Princess Bride this Friday night. Tickets are limited with only one screening so make sure you pick up yours straight away.

Need something to watch while you wrap your Festive gifts this Friday night? Check out Bright on Netflix. What is Bright? Only the most expensive Netflix movie made so far staring Wil Smith, Chronicle/BBC America’s Dirk Gently writer Max Landis and directed by Suicide Squad/End of Watch director David Ayer.

Also on Friday and Netflix, we don’t normally recommend documentary style series but collectors may love ‘The Toys That Made Us’ as it visits some of the toys that have shaped Pop Culture from Star Wars to G.I. Joe. From casual to hardcore collectors you know you love sizing up your collection against others.

Saturday

First up, Happy Festivus! Whether you are hanging out with friends or around the Aluminium pole we hope you have a good one.

It’s a very Netherworld Christmas this Saturday in Brisbane with Netherworld embracing the Christmas spirit to raise money for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. And while you are there make sure you enter to win the X-Files Pinball machine they will be giving away next month for Netherworld’s first birthday.

Can’t wait til Boxing Day? The Ipswich Limelight Cinemas is holding advanced screenings of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle this Saturday. While we are big fans of a boxing day movie session we can’t blame you if you want to get a sneak preview in first.

Caught the Disaster Artist? Still haven’t seen the original ‘The Room’? Get another chance on Saturday at the New Farm Cinemas in Brisbane. If you haven’t seen either maybe catch them back to back, but we might suggest watching the newest one first so you can appreciate the original more.

And one more for the small screen for those with Foxtel the History Channel is playing ‘Superheroes Decoded’ a documentary on the role of superheroes in Pop Culture. Need another reason to watch it? It’s narrated by Batman himself, Kevin Conroy. It’s airing this Saturday.

Sunday

Brisbane‘s Myer Centre gives you one more sneak preview with Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. It’s a limited screening before the Boxing Day release so tickets are limited.

29 Years ago off duty NYPD Cop John McClane saved hostages in Nakatomi Plaza from terrorists. If you are looking for something awesome to do this Christmas Eve, you just found it.

Monday

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Ninjamas and Wookie Life Day! Whatever you celebrate we are just happy to have you.
