Pinball, Supanova and Donkey Kong all happens this weekend and that’s just in Queensland! Here is everything happening across every state in Australia this week!

1. Queensland

Wednesday

There is a ton on this week. Maybe just take Wednesday night to rest up.

Thursday

This Thursday in Cinemas across Australia you can catch a massive cast in Murder on the Orient Express! We are massive Agatha Christie fans as one of the first fandoms and the trailers for this new one look great so we are looking forward to this.

Also in cinemas but only limited release you can also catch Professor Marston and the Wonder Women. This biopic of Dr. William Marston the inventor of the modern Lie Detector and creator of Wonder Woman is a must for devote Wonder Woman fans but definitely maybe check out the wikipedia before taking the kids (note: don’t take kids).

And lastly for movies this Thursday the Metro Arts in Brisbane is holding a double feature of Surf Nazi’s Must Die and Cannibal the Movie. Not sure why you want to see these? Check out the description on the online box office before you grab your tickets.

Start your Supanova early with Super Heroes vs. Super Villains Party at Brisbane‘s Sportsman Hotel. Get out your cape and utility belt and turn your 3 day Supanova weekend into a 4 day one.

Friday

Supanova Brisbane starts this Friday! Why should you go? Two words – Stan Lee. That’s right the man himself will be at Brisbane Supanova this weekend! So pick out your favourite Stan Lee comic and say thanks. It starts Friday and runs all weekend long.

Looking for the perfect double feature for a Friday Night? Look no further as the Metro Arts in Brisbane is playing the Goonies followed by Beetlejuice. We don’t really need to tell you anything else except that you can pick up tickets online now.

Also on Friday at Event Cinemas In The House continues it’s season with Pan’s Labyrinth. Although we can’t help it if you are disappointed afterwards that we aren’t getting a Guillermo del Toro Hellboy 3 (but how good does David Harbour look!). Check out your local Event Cinemas to see if it’s screening near you.

Saturday

First up, don’t forget it’s Remembrance Day. 11am.

Make yourself the King of Kong at the Netherworld Kong Off in Brisbane. Starting Saturday and running all weekend Netherworld play Donkey Kong Country, Diddy Kong Racing and the Original Donkey Kong show down for a $500 cash prize!

Have you been playing Call of Duty: WWII non-stop since release last week? Put those skills to good use with Duckyy’s Gaming Lounge in Brisbane for Round 1 of their Queensland Cup. Register now for this $500 gaming prize pool this weekend.

Sign up starting at 10am for one hour before the competition starts at 11am Club Burwood in Sydney is holding it’s first Street Fighter 5 Tournament this Sunday. It’s the first event of it’s kind at the Club so check it out as it could just be your new favourite Sunday haunt.

If you know it’s 106 miles to Chicago and live in Darwin then you will want to catch Cult Classics this Friday with a screening of The Blues Brothers. With the Last Jedi only just over a month away this is the perfect time for some classic Carrie Fisher along with one of the greatest car chases in films of all time.

Greenlight Comics in Adelaide has been collecting submissions from local artists with Blank Marvel comic covers and collecting votes for the most popular, and this Friday the winners are awarded! This one of a kind Art Exhibition comes to a close this Friday and if you are quick you can check it out before it’s gone!
